The Congruence Engine was a three-year research project that started in November 2021. It used the latest digital techniques (including AI) to connect industrial history collections held in different museums and archives across the UK.

It was one of five ‘Discovery Projects’ funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) under the ‘Towards a National Collection’ funding stream.
